The Wine Value-Chain: from the Vine
to the Glass

The Course

By definition, the wine sector is “international”. Italy leads with France the ranking of top producers and more than 50% of the Italian Wine is now for export. Therefore, interacting with stakeholders worldwide is a must.

To comply with the above requirements, the whole study program will be delivered in English. Moreover, every year, two invited lecturers will hold the courses of  ”Wine microbiology” and ”Topics in Enology”.

What makes MSc in Sustainable Viticulture and Enology truly instructive and competitive is the strong complementarity between indoor teaching and practical external activities. In our Campus we have excellent facilities such as a brand new teaching winery where students will be able to practice “hands on” and produce their own wine, a new sensory lab for exercising on the pairing of wine with food and, last but not least, a small yet precious experimental vineyard.

Each student will be given the chance to run an experimental thesis by joining one of the teams that, in our Department, are carrying funded research projects.

Key Facts

The course is intended for any Italian or foreign student having a bachelor degree (i.e laurea triennale for Italian applicants) or any other equivalent bachelor degree for International students.

Admissions will take place according to chronological order.
